FAU-G is a mobile application game made in India, which is an alternative game of PUBG Mobile. The FAU-G game is being published by Bangalore-based nCore Games. Indian sports industry veteran Vishal Gondal and actor Akshay Kumar have also used Twitter to promote FAU-G. FAU-G is for Fearless and United-Guards. The tweet states that it will donate 20 percent of its revenue to the Government of India funded initiative Veer. However, nothing can be said on FAU-G's release date yet. It is also unclear whether the game will be limited to mobile devices or whether it will also get a PC version.

GOQii CEO Vishal Goundle made a tweet on Friday to reveal the development of FAU-G, which founded India's games in 1999 and which they sold to Disney in 2011, at nCore Games in March last year. He invested an undisclosed amount and is serving the startup as a strategic advisor.

Apart from Vishal Gondal, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar promoted FAU-G through his Twitter account. A poster suggesting the game's story has also been shared on the microblogging site. It is considered a contribution to the "Atma Bharat" (Self-reliant India) campaign by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

The FAU-G announcement comes after days of the government banning the PUBG mobile application and PUBG mobile light along with the other 116 mobile apps in the country, which had engagement with China. The PUBG game was quite popular among young Indian mobile gamers.

NCOR Games, founded in 2018, has no popular games on Google Play under its developer profile. However, the company's site states that Angry Birds manufacturer Rovio is one of its partners. The company also served as a partner on the popular mobile Battle Arena game, Vangalori.

Gaming is slowly gaining momentum in India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about the indigenous game industry a few days before demonetisation. In August last year, A Cut Above, a fighter-based mobile game of Indian Air Force officers, was released by Indian Air Force officials. The game shows over 10,00,000 downloads so far on the Google Play Store.
